Hosted by Spain’s Valencia in the second-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Anadolu Efes lost 78-71. The score was balanced 38-38 at the halftime of the match that has been played at Pabellon Fuente de San Luis.

Starting the match with McCollum, Simon, Muric, Doellman, and Dunston, Anadolu Efes’s first points were shot by Muric and after our Slovenian player’s 6 points, the first 4 minutes were passed with the score of 6-9. When the score table was set to 6-17 within the 6th minute of the game, coach Perasovic called for a time-out. Returning from the time-out Stimac was included in the game and scored our 8th point. Our team passed the first 10 minutes of the game trailing 19-13 with Motum’s 5 points that he scored within the last munite. Starting the second quarter with Stimac’s 6 points, our team was trailing within the 13th minute of the game: 28-19. With McCollum and Adams’s points the score difference was brought down to 5 points at the 16th minute: 28-33. Remaining duration –as it has happened at the beginning of the second quarter- Stimac had a 6-point series and McCollum participated, thus the score was balanced at the end of the first half: 38-38.

Starting the second half, McCollum scored through our first offense and Efes was ahead for the first time: 40-38. Following 3 minutes the part score was set to 2-11 and thus Perasovic called for a time-out: 42-49. Returning from the time-out Stimac and Motum’s underneath points brought the score to 46-54 at the 26th minute. At the 29th minute our team was trailing 66-46, then in the remaining duration Doellman scored and our team finished the third quarter trailing 66-48. Starting the final quarter with McCollum and Stimac duo’s points, our team brought down the score difference to 11 points at 31:30 with Muric’s 3 points from and-one: 55-66. Doellman’s three-pointer brought down the score difference to 10 points at the 33rd minute: 58-68. Doellman scored a fancy dunk, and Muric’s layup set the score table to 75-62 at the last 3:30 minutes of the game and our team was trailing. Remaining duration McCollum and Stimac continued to score but Anadolu Efes couldn’t lead the score and was defeated 78-71.
