Ataman: “It’s not over yet…”

Defeating Spain’s Barcelona Lassa team 75-68 in the 1st playoff match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman shared his thoughts at the post-game conference:

“We’ve began the match with a very well-structured strategy and defence. We’ve geared up the tempo within the first quarter. During the second quarter we’ve played with our offensive players Larkin, Beaubois and Pleiss, then we’ve struggled with defencing Pangos and Pangos scored. Barcelona knew to come back when we’ve failed to offense the zone-defence. We’ve began the third quarter with the same thoughts of the first quarter. Larkin shone in this part, but played very well with Micic. We’ve found chances to raise the score difference to 15 points and continue from that but we’ve failed to do so. We’ve won the match anyway. The series is 1-0 now, nothing is over yet. I would like to thank to our fans, they’ve supported us throughout the season amazingly. We’ve created a very beautiful atmosphere via harmonising with them. We have to win on the Friday night with the same harmony and same tempo, and we have to go to Barcelona with the series set to 2-0.”
