Ataman: ”At the end of the match, we used our offensive weapons well...”

Anadolu Efes' head coach Ergin Ataman, who defeated Manisa Büyükşehir Belediye Spor on the court in the 23rd week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League, with a score of 78-69, shared his views as follows:

"We are coming from a double match week in Euroleague, it is not easy to play a league match after two matches. Manisa Büyükşehir Belediye Spor is a tough team. With Hakan Demir coming to the head, they came from the relegation line to the play-off line. They played hard and because our tempo was low, we couldn't respond to the roughness for a long time. Even though we were behind in the second half and the third period, the match was under our control and we started to respond to the roughness. In the second half, we conceded only 28 points in total. This is of course positive. I think it's better for us to play this kind of tough game. I also congratulate Manisa Büyükşehir Belediye Spor. They fought well. We used our offensive weapons better at the end of the match. We saw that we still need the same players to beat this type of team. Unfortunately, we couldn't get enough contributions from the bench today. Buğrahan Tuncer and Furkan Haltalı could not make the contribution we expected. Unfortunately, Erten Gazi will not be with us for another week. Our players entered the game with a low tempo due to the exhaustion of the double match week in the Euroleague, but then they responded with the same toughness after the match was a risk. Our claim in the league continues."
