Anadolu Efes' head coach Ergin Ataman, who lost 85-93 away to Red Star Mts in the 34th-week match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, shared his views at the press conference held after the match.
“It was a spectacular match. As I stated in the pre-match interview, it was difficult to play such a match. One team was excluded from the play-offs, the other team advanced to the play-offs, and the result of the match was not important for the standings. There was a very nice atmosphere. We fought until the last two or three minutes of the game. Then we got tired and Red Star mts found some points. We also had turnovers on offense and missed free throws. Red Star mts deserved to win this match. Red Star mts will not be in the play-offs but they had a very good season. They are playing really aggressive basketball and they deserved to win. Micic and Beaubois, our two very important players for our system, did not play due to their injuries. But we showed that we are ready for the playoffs.
