Ataman: “Tonight, we played the greatest basketball on offense in this season...”

Defeating Serbia’s Red Star 104-95 in the 17th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

“Tonight, we played the greatest basketball on offense in this season. We have done 21 assists and this shows the sharing of the ball. We knew there would be a pressure on McCollum. We played with two point guards, Errick McCollum and Toney Douglas, and that helped with the organization of our offense. Especially in the first half, we attacked Rochestie with Simon’s pick and roll offenses. Somehow we managed to score with the offense and we foresee the story of the match in the first half. The same situation happened in the second half as well. Though our rival is a very well team, the team gains consecutive victories and have confidence. We made some mistakes, especially on defensive rebounds. Though we played a good basketball in conclusion. Everybody in the team supported each other and we presented a well team-work. We will continue our path in Euroleague…”
