With this result, we completed the 2020-2021 season as champion in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

Starting the match with Larkin, Micic, Simon, Singleton, and Sertaç, Anadolu Efes’s first 8 points were scored by Sertaç and our team was 8-6 ahead in the 4th minute. While the rival team set the score table to 8-11 at the 5th minute, Simon scored a layup and set the score table to 10-11. Singleton and Micic scored 2 points each and Larkin scored 1 point from the free-throw line and our team was trailing 15-20 at the 9th minute. In the remaining duration, our team failed to score and finished the first quarter 15-22 trailing. Starting the second quarter with Moerman’s underneath points, our team was trailing 17-25 at the 12th minute. Larkin was stopped with an unsportsmanlike foul during the fastbreak and scored 2 points from the free-throw line, then Pleiss scored a three-pointer at 12:30 and set the score table to 22-25. The rival team called a time-out and returning from it, Simon scored and brought down the difference to 1 point: 24-25. Larkin’s layup at the 34th minute set the score table to 69-64, then within the following 1 minute the score table was set to 69-69 and so coach Ergin Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out Micic scored a three-pointer at 35:30 and our team was ahead again: 72-69. Larkin’s 3 points and-one at 36:20 set the score table to 75-72. After Singleton’s basket, our team was 77-74 ahead at the 37th minute, then Micic scored a layup: 79-74. Micic scored another basket and our team was 81-76 ahead at the last 1:20 minutes Within the last 30 seconds of the match Larkin and Micic scored from the free-throw line and our team won the match with a score of 86-81.

Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic were selected as the co-MVP for the first time in Turkish Airlines Euroleague’s history after a match, and Vasilije Micic was selected as the Final Four 2021’s MVP.
