We hosted a limited number of healthcare professionals who had received the Covid-19 vaccine during the match. The banner for healthcare workers saying "Endless thanks to all healthcare professionals for their devoted efforts and heroic struggles!" took place in our tribunes.
Starting the match with Micic, Beaubois, Simon, Moerman, and Sertaç, Anadolu Efes’s first points were scored by Micic behind the three-pointer line and our team was 3-2 ahead at the first minute. Sertaç scored, and Micic scored 1 point from the free-throw line and our team was trailing 6-12 heading into the television time-out. Within the following 2:30 minutes, our team scored 3 points with Moerman and Dunston, the score table was set to 9-18 at 7:30 and so coach Ergin Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out Moerman scored 2 points and our team finished the first quarter trailing 11-26. Starting the second quarter with Beaubois and Dunston’s points, our team was trailing 17-28 at the 13th minute. Larkin scored 9 points following 2 minutes and brought down the score difference to 2 points at the 15th minute, our team scored 2 points with Singleton from the free-throw line and the score was a tie at the 16th minute: 28-28.
