Ergin Ataman’s Post-Game Statements:

Defeated by Zalgiris Kaunas team 73-89 in the 4th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts post-game:

"From our point of view, we’ve only had one point guard and he played really bad tonight.  So, it is really hard to play the game we are used to playing. From Zalgiris Kaunas’s point of view, they’ve played perfectly. They’ve played with their young players, tough and correctly. They’ve fought for the ball in every position. I congratulate them. As far as I can see from the first four weeks Zalgiris Kaunas is one of the best teams in the league. We are a team that plays offensively. Singleton made five personal fouls, three of them were offensive fouls. He had five turnovers. Micic had turnovers as well, missed shots. Afterward, the rival team scored through fastbreaks. But we cannot rotate Micic in the point guard position for too long because, in the absence of Larkin and Doğuş, we have an inexperienced player for that position. Larkin will join in the 25th, we expect him to play in the Olympiacos match. Micic played very well in the Alba Berlin match but played badly within the other three matches, this is the reason we would like to see Larkin on the court. Playing in front of an audience months later in Zalgirio Arena is an amazing feeling but I don’t believe that it is fair while many other teams have to play without an audience. It wasn’t fair for the last season being canceled, this isn’t either. We must have equal conditions if we are in the same tournament.”
