Playing against Fenerbahçe in the 13th week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 Group E, Anadolu Efes was defeated 86-90. Anadolu Efes was trailing 34-37 at the halftime of the match, played at Ülker Arena.

Starting the match with Granger, Heurtel, Cedi, Saric and Dunston, Anadolu Efes’s first field goal was scored by Saric. Ahead 5-2 at 1.30 with Granger’s three pointer, Efes had five points by Cedi, tying the game at 4.30: 10-10. Trailing 10-13 at the TV timeout in the sixth minute, Efes got scoring by Heurtel, Brown and Tyus back from the timeout, trailing 16-19 past the first 10 minutes of the game. Starting the second quarter with Johnson’s layup, Efes was trailing 21-24 in the 13th minute after Brown’s points. Down 21-30 at 13.50, Efes had four points by Granger and Cedi, trailing 25-30 past the 15th minute. With five points by Cedi, the score was 30-32 past the 18th minute. Heurtel and Dunston’s four points in the remaining duration helped Anadolu Efes towards a halftime score of 34-37.

Starting the second half with Granger’s points, Efes was trailing 38-42 in the 22nd minute. With the score 38-49 following the home team’s points at 23.30, Efes brought the lead down to nine points in the 25th minute with Granger and Heurtel’s points: 42-51. Behind 46-55 into the last three minutes of the quarter following four points by Tyus, Anadolu Efes had points by Johnson and Tyus within the remaining three minutes, trailing 50-66 while heading into the final quarter. With Heurtel, Saric, Brown and Diebler’s points within the following 3.30 minutes, Efes brought the lead down to six points: 79-85. Getting seven points by Heurtel, Brown and Diebler within the remaining one minute, Anadolu Efes failed to reclaim the lead, lost the match 86-90 and is no longer competing for playoffs.
