We hosted AX Armani Exchange Milan in the third match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague play-offs and we won the match 77-65. We were 42-35 ahead in the first half of the match which had played at Sinan Erdem Dome.
After this result, we took the lead 2-1 in the series. The fourth match of the series will be played on Thursday, April 28, at Sinan Erdem Dome.
We started the game with Larkin, Micic, Elijah, Moerman, and Pleiss starting five, and the first basket of the match came from Moerman. We scored with the duo of Micic and Pleiss in the first minutes, and we were ahead 15-11 in the fifth minute. Dunston and Moerman also contributed to the score, and we were ahead 25-17 in the first 10 minutes of the game with Micic's four points. We started the second period with Dunston's stylish dunk, and on our first offense, we took the lead up to 10 points: 27-17. After catching the score 29-21 in the 12th minute with Moerman, our team passed the next three minutes silently and brought the score to 34-26 in the 15th minute with the points from Anderson and Singleton. After Buğrahan and Pleiss' three-pointers, Larkin scored his first points from the foul line and we entered the 18th minute with a 42-28 advantage. We couldn't find a score in the remaining part and we finished the first half of the match ahead 42-35.
We started the second half with three points scored by Pleiss in an and-one position and we were leading 45-37 in the 22nd minute. After Elijah and Micic's under-shoots, Larkin found his first field goal behind the three-point line and we made the score 52-45 in the 26th minute. After we were ahead 57-52 in the 28th minute with the points of Micic and Larkin, we scored a basket with Elijah in the remaining time and we were leading 59-56 in the last 10 minutes of the game. While the score was 59-60 at 32:30 in the final period, we took the lead again in the 33rd minute with Micic's mid-range hit: 61-60. We answered the opposing team's three-pointer with Moerman under the rim hit and at 35:30 the score was tied: 63-63. After Moerman's defensive rebound, Pleiss scored three points in the basket foul position and we made the score 66-63 in the 36th minute. After the opponent's turnover, Larkin found the three-pointer and increased the lead to six points in the 37th minute: 69-63. This time, Micic turned Pleiss' defensive rebound into three points and we made the score 72-63 in the 38th minute. We scored five more points with Larkin in the last minute of the game and we won the game 77-65.
