One Team Week almost underway...

The social responsibility program by Turkish Airlines Euroleague that aims to develop communities through basketball, “One Team” will be on the courts this week throughout matches in Turkish Airlines Euroleague and 7DAYS Eurocup.

As part of the One Team Program which influenced 12,000 participants since its inception in 2012, all players in every match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague and 7DAYS Eurocup will bear the name of One Team instead of their own names on their jerseys, and will support Euroleague’s social responsibility program along with their clubs.

16 teams from Turkish Airlines Euroleague and 20 teams from Eurocup aim to help individuals in risk groups through local One Team events. Matches throughout the One Team week will also host athletes from Special Olympics, which aims to help special young people to turn to sports, as part of a long-standing cooperation with the Euroleague Basketball family. During the ceremony before every match this week, Euroleague players will stay side-by-side with athletes from Special Olympics as well as participants of the One Team Program executed by the respective home teams, and will highlight the fact that they can be good teammates both on and off the court.

Having valued social responsibility projects as much as championship titles ever since the day it was founded, Anadolu Efes Sports Club had unveiled its 2016-17 season One Team Projects. Anadolu Efes Sports Club will organize its One Team program in two legs: one during the season in February and March for the children in need at Sinop, and one during the summer in June and July at the fruit farms of Anadolu Etap, Turkey’s largest fruit and fruit juice company. Many children move every season with their families, and as Anadolu Etap helps these children earn new skills and take a more hopeful look into the future through its MİÇO (Seasonal Workers’ Children) project, Anadolu Efes Sports Club will add value with basketball and social development trainings.

After Cedi Osman, who was the One Team ambassador of Anadolu Efes Sports Club last season, Furkan Korkmaz will be this year’s One Team ambassador for Anadolu Efes Sports Club in the 2016-17 season.
