Ataman: ”We had the control of the match from the beginning...”

Defeating Fenerbahçe Doğuş 83-80 in the PTT Turkey Cup Quarterfinal game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

"It was a match that was worthy of its name. The audience must have enjoyed it because it was a top-level basketball. Of course, I am very happy on behalf of my team because of not only for the fight but we had the control of the match from the beginning. Fenerbahçe is a very quality team, they didn’t step back and melted the score difference but we grabbed the acceleration again and even with our foul problems towards the end we managed to win the match. I have told to my players 3 things in the changing room; the first thing was congratulations, you fought very well. You played a very well basketball, congratulations. Lastly, you have shown that you are honorable players. Also, I thank Fenerbahçe Doğuş for motivating us this well right before an elimination game.”

Our successful player who played for 40 minutes today, Bryant Dunston also stated his thoughts in the press conference as; “The previous match’s final score was a shame for us. We knew how to play in this match, and that is what we have done. We have shown the necessary energy and fight. We must show this fight in every match. As for being on the arena for 40 minutes, if I am in the arena, I am always trying to do my best. My team needed that today. Even though I am happy that we didn’t go overtime.”
