Ataman: “We’ve Found our Pace as a Team…”

Defeating Bahçeşehir College 100-76 in the match of ING Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts post-game:

"We started the match well and played with a serious attitude and full concentration. We have an advantageous team, and we’ve raised the score difference within the first quarter by playing good basketball. We’ve had the chance to play with all of our players. This is our 19th game and we have the unbeaten streak.

I am pleased with the game we’ve played tonight, we would love to play with all of our players those came here with us and prevent them from losing their pace. Unfortunately, Larkin is injured from his groin. He will be examined tomorrow through MRI, we have a Barcelona match on Thursday. This is very unfortunate. We only wanted him to play for about 10-15 minutes. His treatment will begin after the MRI results tomorrow. We will try our best to prepare him for the Barcelona match, it will be a critical match. We’ve found our tempo as a team, our players started to enjoy again. The atmosphere isn’t the same as last year, for the world and European basketball. Our players are struggling with motivation because of that. We are in a critical period in Euroleague, 12 matches are left. We can both move up or out. Our rivals are strong, I hope that we reach our target in both Euroleague and Super League without injuries.”
