Perasovic: “We have won a very important match…”

Defeating Beşiktaş Sompo Japan 66-65 in the third semifinal match of Spor Toto Basketbol Super League Play-off, Anadolu Efes head coach Velimir Perasovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

“We have won a very important match. There were moments where it was tought that we would lose but we have found a way to win anyway. We have started the match in a good way and we have gained 10-point difference. The team was mentally down after the situation that had happened in the second quarter. Thus, we have had some offense issues and we missed some simple shots. We lost our shape in the game. Though we won the game with the last second basket despite the fact of the bad situation. I believe that we have an equal chance with Beşiktaş Sompo Japan. We also would like to get treated respectfully like the way Beşiktaş Sompo Japan is treated…”

Anadolu Efes’s captain Doğuş Balbay also stated his thoughts at the press conference as: “Beşiktaş Sompo Japan has used the field advantage very well within the first two matches. They came here with that advantage today but we have shown character and we played very well. We have shown that we won’t be quitting easily. We have fought our way until the last second and won. We would like to win the next match and balance the series and carry it to the last match…”
