Hosted by the Türk Telekom team in the 2nd-week match of ING Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes won the game 83-78. Anadolu Efes was ahead 40-29 at the half-time of the match that has been played at Sinan Erdem Sports Arena.
Starting the match with Doğuş, Micic, Simon, Moerman, and Pleiss, Anadolu Efes’s first points were scored by Micic. Moerman and Simon scored consecutively within the first minutes and our team set the score table to 11-3 at the 5th minute. Our team scored from the free-throw line consecutively within the second half of the first quarter, and Pleiss scored 4, Micic and Moerman scored 2 points each and Anadolu Efes was 19-13 ahead at the end of the first quarter. Starting the second quarter with Anderson’s 6 and Tolga’s 5 points, our team raised the score difference to 15 points at the 12:30 and the rival team called a time-out: 30-15. Returning from the time-out Anderson and Tolga continued to score and our team was 35-17 ahead at the 15th minute. Even though our team struggled to score in the last part of the quarter, Micic scored 2 and captain Doğuş scored 3 points and our team was 40-29 ahead at the end of the first half.
Starting the second half with Moerman’s points, our team set the score table to 42-31 at the 21st minute. Though the rival team set the score table to 42-38 at the 22nd minute and so coach Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out Micic scored a three-pointer and set the score table to 45-39 at the 23rd minute. Then Pleiss scored consecutive 7 points and our team was 52-42 ahead at the 25th minute. While the rival team brought down the score difference to2 points within the last part of the quarter, Anderson and Micic’s points followed by Moerman and our team finished the third quarter 61-57 ahead. Starting the final quarter Anderson and Moerman scored 3 points each within the first 2 minutes and our team set the score table to 67-59 at the 32nd minute. After Sertaç scored our 68th points, Pleiss and Micic scored and Anadolu Efes was 72-67 ahead at the 36th minute. Within the last 3:30 minutes of the match, Anderson scored a three-pointer and set the score table to 75-72. After Pleiss’s 4 points, our team was 79-74 ahead in the last 23 seconds of the match. Remaining duration Micic scored and our team won the match 83-78.
