We hosted Germany's Bayern Munich team in the 19th-week postponement match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and won the game 81-76. We were ahead 44-39 in the first half of the match played at Sinan Erdem Dome.
While Larkin, Simon, Anderson, Moerman, and Dunston were the starting five of our team, the first basket of the match came from Larkin. With Larkin’s contribution to the points, we found with Moerman and Dunston, we were ahead 20-14 at the sixth minute. Three-pointers from Larkin and Moerman brought the score to 26-19 in the eighth minute. We finished the first 10 minutes of the game ahead 28-21 when Pleiss, who was subbed-in in the game in the remaining part, also hit an under-the-rim shot. We started the second period with Buğrahan's mid-range hit, leading 30-21 in the 11th minute. After Pleiss' slam dunk and Simon's three-pointer, at 12:30 we increased the lead to 12 points and the visiting team's timeout came: 35-23. With Simon and Dunston's points, we were ahead in the 18th minute with a 42-33 lead, while Larkin's two accurate free throws led us to lead 44-39 in the first half of the game.
We started the second half with Simon's three-pointer and the score was 47-39 in the 21st minute. Moerman also contributed to Simon's points in this section, and we were ahead 55-49 in the 25th minute. When the score was 59-52 at 26:30 with the points of Pleiss and Larkin, the visiting team took a time-out. When the score was 59-57 on the return from the time-out, this time our head coach Ergin Ataman took a time-out. Scoring three points with Moerman after the timeout, our team was ahead 67-62 in the last 10 minutes of the game, following the points from Anderson and Pleiss. Our first point in the final period came from Dunston at the foul line and we were leading 68-62 in the 31st minute. While our 70th point came from Singleton, we moved the score to 72-64 in the 34th minute with Larkin's layup. Anderson's three-pointer brought the score to 75-67 in the 35th minute. With Elijah's basket, we increased the lead to 10 points in the 36th minute: 77-67. Thanks to Singleton and Dunston's one accurate free throw each, we entered the last 2:30 minutes of the match with a 79-69 lead. With Larkin's two hits on the foul line, we entered the last 25 seconds of the game with an 81-75 advantage. Although we could not find a score in the remaining time, we won the match 81-76.
