Anadolu Efes signs Dario Saric...

Anadolu Efes has signed Dario Saric, formerly playing for the Croatian side Cibona Zagreb. The 20-year-old player stands at 207 cm tall, and plays at power forward and center.

Starting his basketball life in Croatia at Drazen Petrovic Basketball School, Saric had his first professional experience with KK Zrinjevac in the 2009-10 season. Signing with KK Zagreb in December 2009, the young player signed with Dubrava Zagreb in the 2010-11 season. Returning to KK Zagreb after a season, Dario Saric has been playing for Cibona Zagreb for the last two seasons.

Dario Saric will be playing abroad for the first time in his career. He won the Nike International Junior Tournament in 2011 with KK Zagreb, and was selected the MVP of the tournament. With Cibona Zagreb, Saric won the Croatian League and Croatian Cup in the 2012-13 season. Playing an important part in his team’s Adriatic League championship last season, as Cibona defeated Cedevita 72-59 in the final match, Dario Saric had 23 points, 11 rebounds and a player index score of 33, leading the court on all three categories, and attaining the title of finals MVP.

Winning the gold medal with the Croatian National Team and selected the MVP at the U-16 European Championship in 2010, Saric also won the U-18 European Championship with the Croatian National team in 2012, scoring 25.6 points per game to play a significant role in the gold medal, winning the MVP award once more.

Selected the “FIBA Europe Young Men's Player of the Year” in 2013, Saric had 12.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 10 games with Cibona Zagreb in the Euroleague.

He had 16.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in within 28 matches in the Adriatic League.

Anadolu Efes signed Dario Saric on a 2 + 1 year deal.
