Anadolu Efes signs James Anderson

Anadolu Efes signed a 1+1 year contract with the player James Anderson who was wearing the jersey of the Russian team Khimki.

Anderson was born in 1989, 1.98 meters tall and plays in the shooting guard / short forward position.

Graduated from the Oklahoma State University in 2010, American player selected by San Antonio Spurs in the same year’s NBA Draft at the first round 20th pick and begun his NBA career. After transferred to one of the NBDL teams Austin Toros because of an injury on his foot, Anderson then was called back to Spurs and continued until December 2012. At the beginning of 2013 he signed a contract with one of the NBDL teams Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Anderson finished the season in one of the NBA teams Houston Rockets. In the 2013-14 season, he wore the jersey of Philadelphia 76, successful player was transferred to Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kaunas for an overseas experience. After a year in the team he returned to NBA and played in Sacramento Kings, then in the 2016-17 season, he played in one of the Turkish teams Darüşşafaka. James Anderson wore the jersey of Russian team Khimki in the last season.

Anderson was awarded a bronze medal in 2009 in the University games that were held in Serbia with the National Team, then at his last year of Oklahoma State University days he was selected to the best-five in Big 12 Conference and received the title of the best player of the year in the same conference. In the 2014-15 season, he participated in becoming the champion of the Lithuanian League while wearing the jersey of Zalgiris Kaunas and the team won the Lithuanian Cup also. He played in Lithuanian All-Stars as well.

In the past season with the Khimki team in VTB League Anderson participated in 23 matches with the average of 22:50 minutes, 8,9 points, 3,3 rebounds and 1,5 assists.

In the past season in Euroleague, he participated in 31 matches with the average of 21:45 minutes, 9,2 points, 2,8 rebounds and 1,3 assists.
