Ataman: “Things were easier with our force in the second half…”

Defeating Khimki 101-82 in the last match of the first half of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts post-game:

"We played a good basketball within the first half of the match but we couldn’t raise the score difference because our defense wasn’t on the level we wanted it to be. Khimki is one of the teams that has the best offense set of Euroleague, so they continued to fight. They didn’t allow the point difference to raise. We spoke about it in the half-time and increased the force in the second half. We’ve managed to interfere with their sets and forced them to shoot tough shots. Things were easier from that point for us and played our own open-court set. We were great on offense as usual. All of our smalls contributed well, so did Pleiss and Singleton. Moerman played for more minutes than usual, contributed well with his fight. I’m guessing that we will finish the first half of Euroleague as the leader after this week’s scores.”
