Dusan Ivkovic: “For the first time this season, we held the game under control for 40 minutes...”

Defeating Torku Konyaspor 85-52 at the 16th week match of Spor Toto Basketball League, Anadolu Efes coach Dusan Ivkovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

“First of all, I would like to point out that for the first time this season, we held the game under control for 40 minutes. 12 of our players had time on the court, and 11 of them scored. On the other hand, we played against a very experienced team. Torku Konyaspor is a team that is built with plans in mind for the future. Today, our defense was great. From our perspective, we are getting closer to our target. We are in mid-season, yet we are becoming a better team each passing day. I would like to wish Torku Konyaspor good luck in their upcoming matches. I would also like to add that the fans at Konya know basketball really well. They were spot-on with their reactions to every action on the court. I can easily say that most teams do not have a group of fans like that. We are now going to play a big game against Fenerbahçe in the Euroleague. Starting from tomorrow, we will start training for this match...”

Anadolu Efes’s young talent Ahmet Düverioğlu also stated his thoughts: “We played really well today. As young players, we had a lot of time on the court. We knew about the importance of this match, and that it wouldn’t be easy. We focused on defense. I would also like to wish Torku Konyaspor success in their upcoming games. Now, we are going to start preparing for our match against Fenerbahçe in the Euroleague...”
