Dusan Ivkovic: “We have won three important matches this week...”

Defeating Beşiktaş 83-79 at the 29th week match of Turkish Basketball League, Anadolu Efes coach Dusan Ivkovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

“It was a very tough game. Beşiktaş was the better side in the first three quarters. They controlled the game better than us. On the other hand, we missed uncontested shots, made turnovers in transition and lacked energy. In the final quarter and overtime, though, we were great in team play. We never gave up, and had a score of 34-18 in these 15 minutes. I would like to congratulate Beşiktaş for their play in the first 30 minutes. We need to keep working. Cedi Osman’s injury seems to be serious. His condition will become clear after the examinations. It has been a successful week for us. We played three important matches against Fenerbahçe, Darüşşafaka and Beşiktaş. Starting from tomorrow, we have to start preparing for Telekom...”

Efes’s Birkan Batuk also stated his thoughts at the press conference: “Against Fenerbahçe and Darüşşafaka on the road, we displayed our real character and won those matches. We knew it would be a hard match today. Beşiktaş is also contending for play-offs. Unfortunately, we were unable to display the tough defense that we put up on the road. We were trailing in the first three quarters. We won the game through solid defense and good performance in the final quarter and overtime. If we don’t lose our match in the final week, we will be in the top two right before the play-off. We want to be well-prepared into the play-offs...”
