Dusan Ivkovic: ''We need to prevent easy transition points...''

Preparing to play against the Spanish side Real Madrid on Thursday, 18 December on road at the 10th and final week match of Euroleague first round, Anadolu Efes Coach Dusan Ivkovic commented on the upcoming match:

"We will be playing the game of the week on road at Madrid in the final week of the first round. We want to play a good game. One of the good news is that Krstic started training with the team. On the other hand, Cenk also started training with the team but his injury duration is extended. Right now, Furkan has an illness and I'm not sure whether he will be fine to play. After the match against Nizhny Novgorod, I naturally expect my team to put on a better performance. We had a good result against Real Madrid in the first match in Istanbul, and we got more transition points compared to them. The key of the match for us is to control the game pace, prevent Real Madrid from getting easy transition points and reduce Rodriguez's assists..."

Among the young prospects of Anadolu Efes, Furkan Korkmaz also stated his thoughts: "Real Madrid is not an unbeatable team, and we proved that in the first match in Istanbul. However, it certainly will be a tough road game. We have some injuries in the team. Our current calendar is pretty intense. We will be going to Spain to beat Real Madrid on the road. We want to qualify for the Top 16 as the group leader..."
