Ergin Ataman: ”I want to go as a champion...”

After defeating Pınar Karşıyaka 85-68 in the 2nd match of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League Play-off Final, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman shared his views as follows:

"We managed to win one more game. We did not lose our advantage on the court, but it is a tough fight. The different ending of the match does not show the game. Pınar Karşıyaka is a team that fought very well. We also had a serious problem during the match. Will Clyburn has a serious knee injury, the series continues. We don't know if he can do it. Right now we are only 2-0 ahead. We need to win one more game to be champion. Now we are going to Izmir. There is a very difficult atmosphere in all matches there. We will play our basketball and try to win there. Now we will look at it one by one. We need to get one match more. My players put up a great fight today, especially after Will Clyburn came out. Congratulations to all of them. I hope we don't come back here for Game 5 because we're up 2-0. We have only one goal, the championship. I want to go from here as champions. I love everyone so much. I love everyone. My club, their fans, those who support us. I hope we don't come back, and if we do, we will try to win here. It doesn't matter if I go, the possibility that this is my last game here. The only thing that matters is being the champion of Turkey once again as Anadolu Efes."
