Perasovic: “We were better-concentrated in the second half, and we found the key to the victory...”

Defeating Galatasaray Odeabank 80-77 at the 14th week match of Spor Toto Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes coach Velimir Perasovic stated his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
Perasovic: “We were better-concentrated in the second half, and we found the key to the victory...”

“It was a very challenging match today. This was our third match against Galatasaray Odeabank after already playing two matches in a short interval. After a 10-0 scoring run to start the game, Galatasaray Odeabank reacted well. They pulled ahead, and they deserved it. In this part of the game, they played well and smart. However, we were better-concentrated in the second half, we played better, and somehow we found the key to the victory. We fought on rebounds, but we actually lost the battle of rebounds today. The opponent had nine more rebounds than us. One of our best rebounders, Tyler Honeycutt was not on the court today. Still, those who played did their best. Playing in today’s game, Brandon Paul also performed really well. Right now, we are going to play a very tough road match against Panathinaikos Superfoods in Turkish Airlines Euroleague. We have to prepare as good as we can for this game...”

Anadolu Efes’s profilic player Cedi Osman also stated his thoughts: “Due to Euroleague’s new format this year, we have had many matches against Galatasaray Odeabank. This has been our third match within a short time period. We won all three matches, but that wasn’t easy. Winning three times in a row is anything but easy. This victory has been a morale-booster for us. Right now, we are going to play against Panathinaikos Superfoods, Barcelona Lassa and Beşiktaş Sompo Japan. We want to play as good as we can in those games, and maintain our winning streak.”
