Post-Game Evaluation by Ergin Ataman...

Defeated by AX Armani Exchange Milan team 71-75 in the 4th-week match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman stated his thoughts post-game:

"We’ve started with a different strategy to the game. We’ve pushed AX Armani Exchange Milan, the team who’ve won the last 3 matches and is fit, with three bigs. We were successful with that strategy at the beginning. We missed empty shots and changing to three smalls at the final 3-4 minutes of the match we struggled on defense and they were ahead at the end of the first half. Starting the second half we tried to stay in the game and came back. We were good defense-wise but our offensive game, especially with three smalls wasn’t too successful. Larkin, Micic, and Beaubois scored 2 three-pointers out of 14. I’ve told them that our fastbreaks were unacceptable in the changing rooms. Micic’s trying a three-pointer from 8-9 meters far cannot be explained. Also, Singleton to not have a rebound while playing for 27 minutes is a reason for criticism.”
