We Tied the Series: 91-77

We hosted Galatasaray Nef in the second match of the play-off semi-finals of the ING Basketball Super League and we won the game 91-77. We finished the first half of the match played at the Sinan Erdem Dome, 45-37 ahead.

After this result, the series tied at 1-1. The third match of the series will be played on May 31, Tuesday at Sinan Erdem Dome.

While our team went to the match with Larkin, Micic, Singleton, Dunston, and, Pleiss starting five, our first basket came from Pleiss. With Larkin and Micic's points, the fourth minute was passed with a score of 7-12, while Singleton also contributed to the score, bringing the scoreboard to 12-14 in the fifth minute. At these minutes, we scored with Dunston and Erten and tied the score at 7:30, and then we went ahead 21-19 with Elijah's layup. We could not find a score in the remaining time and the first 10 minutes of the match ended with a 21-21 tie. We started the second period with the seven points of Pleiss and we were ahead 28-24 at the 12th minute. In this section, we found some points with Dunston and Elijah, one after the other, and brought the score to 40-32 in the 18th minute. In the remaining two minutes, we scored three more points with Larkin and two more points with Elijah, and we finished the first half of the game ahead 45-37.

We started the second half with Elijah's three-pointer and increased the lead to double digits for the first time in the match: 48-37. When the score came to 48-47 in the 23rd minute, we brought the score to 60-54 in the 25th minute with the points we found from the hands of Singleton, Pleiss, and Micic. With the points of Micic and Pleiss, we entered the 28th minute with a 65-56 lead, and when Elijah and Larkin contributed to the score, we finished the third quarter ahead 71-61. While our first point in the final period was on the foul line with Pleiss, the score came to 74-65 at 31:30 when Buğrahan found two accurate free throws. After Larkin's layup, Buğrahan hit a three-pointer, and we were ahead 79-69 in the 33rd minute. After Dunston's two points, Micic and Larkin's three-pointers entered the 36th minute, increasing the lead to 16 points: 87-71. After Micic and Egemen’s points, we won the match 91-77.
