Our team started the game with Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Smits and Ercan. The first basket of the night came from Cordinier in the second minute. With points from Smits and Ercan, we entered the fifth minute ahead 9-7. Following points in the paint from Dessert and Smits and a three-pointer by Weiler-Babb in the final seconds of the quarter, we trailed 19-18 after the first 10 minutes. We opened the second quarter with a single made free throw from Smits, tying the game at 19-19. After baskets by Swider and Loyd, the 15th minute was reached with a 33-24 score in favor of Barcelona. In the latter five minutes of the period, we scored through Cordinier and Loyd, but went into halftime trailing 46-35.

We began the second half with points from Weiler-Babb and Ercan, making it 48-40 at 21:30. Continuing to score through Loyd and Smits, we cut the deficit to one point in the 24th minute: 48-47. A three-pointer from Weiler-Babb answered the opponent’s basket and tied the game at 50-50 in the 25th minute. After a turnover by Barcelona, a spectacular dunk by Dessert put us back in front 52-50 in the 26th minute. We added six more points in the remaining four minutes and entered the final quarter ahead 58-55. Our first points in the final period came from David Mutaf at the free-throw line: 59-55. Dessert scored again in the paint and Ercan made a three-pointer to bring the score to 66-64 in the 35th minute. With points from Weiler-Babb and Ercan, we extended the lead to 69-64 at 36:30. Within the next minute and a half, Barcelona responded and the 38th minute was reached with a 70-69 score in their favor. A single made free throw from Loyd tied the game at 70-70 entering the final minute. Dessert hit two free throws to make the score 72-73 in the final 36 seconds. After securing a defensive rebound, Cordinier received a foul and went to the line with one second remaining and calmly sank both free throws, sealing the 74-73 victory.
