Dusan Ivkovic: “We had problems with offensive plays in the second half...”

Defeated 73-77 by Fenerbahçe at the sixth week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 Group E, Anadolu Efes Coach Dusan Ivkovic commented at the post-game press conference:

“It was a psychologically difficult game today for my team. Fenerbahçe was the better side today on the court, and they deserved the win. We played two very different halves. We had the game under control in the first half, and were six points ahead. In the second half, though, we had problems with offensive plays. We tried, yet we failed to win. Our creativity on offense was not enough today. Fenerbahçe was good on defense. We had a bad day, and failed to organize. We have to stay concentrated and just keep on. Right now, we have to concentrate on our match against Galatasaray in the Turkish League. Our schedule is very tight in February and March. We need to keep working a lot.”

Showcasing the best performance for Anadolu Efes with an index score of 17, Cedi Osman also stated his thoughts: “It was a very challenging game today. It was a really enjoyable and hard-fought contest. Fenerbahçe turned out to be the winner. Today, we had a good start into the game and played well. Yet we failed to have a good start into the second half, and couldn’t maintain the nine-point lead. We were pretty bad at the end of the game. I think we are on the right track. We progressed a lot since the start of the season. We need to forget about this match, and immediately start concentrating on the game against Galatasaray. We want to stay on top. I would also like to congratulate Fenerbahçe.”
