
Our team started the game with Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Cordinier, Smits and Ercan. Our first points came from Smits and Cordinier, and we trailed 10-5 in the third minute. After baskets in the paint by Ercan and Smits, we took the lead for the first time in the sixth minute with a layup from Şehmus: 14-12. Cordinier and Swider also scored their first points during this part, while Şehmus added another basket and we ended the first 10 minutes trailing 25-22. We opened the second quarter with one three-pointer from Loyd and two from Cordinier, taking a 31-28 lead in the 12th minute. When the score shifted to 31-36 within the next minute, coach Kokoskov called a timeout. After the timeout, we hit one three-pointer each with Cordinier and Ercan, bringing the score to 37-39 in the 15th minute. In the latter five minutes of the quarter, Şehmus added two points and Ercan four more and we finished the first half trailing 50-43.
In the second half, our first points came from a Loyd three-pointer: 50-46. With the score at 46-58 at 23:30, coach Kokoskov called a timeout. After the timeout, Cordinier hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit back to single digits in the 24th minute: 49-58. After nearly five scoreless minutes, Loyd scored four points in the final minute of the quarter and we entered the last 10 minutes trailing 70-53. We started with Loyd’s basket to the final period and we trailed 72-56 in the 31st minute. Following baskets by Smits, David and Erkan also scored, bringing the score to 64-88 in the 37th minute. After a dunk by Jones, we left the court with a 102-66 defeat.
