
Our team started the game with Larkin, Weiler-Babb, Erkan, Smits and Dessert. The first points came from Smits giving us a 5-3 lead in the opening minute. With Larkin’s baskets, we led 14-12 in the fifth minute, and after Swider and Jones contributed to the scoring, the score was 19-18 at 6:30. In the remaining minutes, we scored through Şehmus, Loyd and Dozier but finished the first 10 minutes trailing 34-25. We opened the second quarter with a powerful dunk from Jones to make it 27-34 in the 11th minute. With baskets from Dozier and Şehmus, our team narrowed the gap and Smits’ two points followed by Larkin’s three-pointer tied the game at 39-39 in the 15th minute. In the second five minutes of the quarter Jones, Dessert and Loyd contributed to the scoring, and we ended the first half down 50-47.
In the first two minutes of the second half, points from Dessert and Larkin gave us a 52-50 lead. With our big men Smits and Swider scoring, we led 58-52 in the 25th minute. Baskets from Larkin and Jones extended our advantage to 64-58 in the 28th minute. Şehmus and Dozier added points in the final two minutes of the period, and we entered the last 10 minutes ahead 71-65. We began the final quarter with baskets from Dozier and Swider, increasing the lead to 76-65 in the 31st minute. Our team maintained control during this part and with baskets from Loyd and Larkin, we led 88-78 in the 35th minute. We continued our dominance until the end, and with the final points coming from Larkin and Dozier, we secured a 101-87 victory.
