“We know this is very tough place to play and we played against a very good team. Every win for teams at the beginning of the season is so important. Because we started something new and winning game in a place like Athens and playing against a team like Olympiacos gives us confidence. That’s what we're doing, everyday in practice that it works. So it's very important to win for us. It's not a phrase, but I have to emphasise that it was absolutely team effort. Every player who played with more minutes, less minutes contributed tonight. We're really gonna enjoy this win. Because it was psychologically a very important win despite all problems. Every team has problems. We have our problems in terms of starting the season very late, having a lot of guys in national teams. And we were trying to teach a lot of new things to the guys who are emotionally and physically tired from the last summer. But anyway a great win, I think I would like to emphasise our defence in the second half. This talented team with Vezenkov and so many offensive weapons scored 27 points in the second half. I think that was a key for us. Defense drives. We have a lot of offensive weapons, a lot of talented players but I think defense was the next level. And that’s the one thing we are taking from this game.”
