
Our starting five was Dozier, Beaubois, Weiler-Babb, Ercan and Poirier and we took a 4-3 lead in the second minute thanks to points from Ercan and Dozier. Following Poirier’s layup in the paint, baskets by Beaubois and Weiler-Babb made the score 10-14 by the eighth minute. In the final minute of the quarter, we scored two dunk baskets through Jones and finished the first 10 minutes trailing 21-14. We opened the second period with two made free throws by Weiler-Babb, making it 16-21 at the 10:30 mark. After baskets by Cordinier and Smits, the score was 23-27 at 12:30. We went scoreless over the next four minutes and at 16:30 the score became 23-36. In the remaining time, Beaubois scored one basket in the paint and we went into halftime trailing 43-25.
In the second half, our first points came from Weiler-Babb and Beaubois and the 23rd minute was reached with the score at 29-53. After four points from Poirier and eight from Weiler-Babb, the score became 41-64 in the 28th minute. We were unable to score in the final two minutes and entered the last 10 minutes trailing 66-41. We opened the final period with one made free throw by Cordinier and reached the 31st minute trailing 66-42. Three-pointers by Weiler-Babb and Swider made the score 48-71 at 32:30. When Swider added three more points with an and-one play, the score became 51-73 in the 33rd minute. Dunk baskets by Jones made it 56-75 in the 35th minute. Although we scored consecutively with Swider in the second five-minute part of the period, we were unable to close the gap and lost the game 87-65.
